Field Manual
InTerra SmarTarget designed to be easy to use from field to office.
1. Power on and set the target on the ground.
2. Fly drone.
3. Pick up and power off.
4. Process and done.
It's really that simple.
Cloth targets are two-sided Orange/Black and White/Black for optimum usage in changing chromatic conditions. White/Black does not show up on grass and natural ground, while Orange/Black provides great contrast and are easily seen. Conversely, Orange/Black shows well on concrete and asphalt surfaces in drone imagery at altitude. Each cloth target has grommets to aid in anchoring and a rectangle to place the powered on SmarTarget in the center.
There is even a place to put a contact name and phone number on the cloth target
On the SmarTarget there are a few lights to know about while using in both the field and the office.
The blue light serves two purposes. The first is to indicate GNSS satellite signal searching. The blue light slow pulses (2-second cycle from off to full bright to off) when searching. Once locked, then the blue light will short pulse (0.1 sec) to indicate records are writing to memory. Typical lock time is about seven seconds.
The green light stays illuminated when the satellite signal is locked and remains on to indicate signal lock.
The yellow light indicates the Charge condition. When plugged into a power source the yellow light stays on while charging and will turn off when full. When fully charged each unit should have enough autonomous power to record data for up to nine hours. Consumption will vary with temperature and the number of charge cycles.
Refer to the LED Indicator Panel section for an in-depth reference on the LED panel.
